George E. Grace, founder, has over 20 years experience in real estate. In 1986, he started as a leasing agent for the Cross & Brown Company. Later, he became a consultant with a company that pioneered tenant representation. At that time, Mr. Grace was responsible for a 200,000 square foot transaction. In the early 1990’s during the long downturn in the commercial real estate market, Mr. Grace was a partner in a leasing and management firm responsible for a portfolio of 2,000,000 square feet of office and retail space in New York City and its suburbs. The successful leasing program resulted in occupancy rates of over 95%. Since establishing G.E. Grace & Company, Mr. Grace has focused his efforts in representing tenants and owners as broker and consultant.
Ed Pezzaro has over 25 years experience in real estate as broker, in-house counsel and attorney. Ed started at Cross & Brown in the early 1980’s where he worked with George Grace. He became Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Cross & Brown where his responsibilities included negotiating agreements on behalf of over 200 real estate brokers. He continued this role with another well-known New York based real estate firm where he was engaged on the transaction side of the business representing Landlords.
Rick Garapedian has successfully completed a variety of leasing and consulting assignments. Previously, Rick was a principal consultant with a couple of the Big Four Accounting Firms. He specialized in property tax appeals and served clients from most major industries while providing expertise on office, industrial and retail properties.
Melvin Weisblatt owned and operated an Apple dealership for over 25 years. His clients among others included Lederle Laboratories, Westchester and Rockland Counties’ public school system and Active Media where he provided advice and consultation for computers, peripherals and networks. After Apple started to replace their dealership network with company owned stores, Mel transferred his knowledge of office technology, corporate workflow and client services to commercial real estate services.
Sandra Caldwell, after successfully running her own business in the cosmetics industry in the
UK, managed several retail establishments which culminated as the manager and operator of a
number of high end shops aboard the Holland America Lines. Upon land fall, she entered the
commercial real estate business as a salesperson. Sandra has a business degree from the
University of East Anglia and is a licensed salesperson in New York State. ![]() |
Lewis Friedman, Ph.D was an active owner and manager of real estate in New York City Real Estate for over 30 years. His first residential conversion of commercial loft buildings took place during the 1970’s fiscal crisis. He owned in part over 50 individual properties which were sold in their entirety in early 2006. During the early 1990’s, he was an appointed property manager in the foreclosure and bankruptcy process. As President of Merlon Management Corporation, he had direct decision-making authority over the following: • Acquisition an disposition of properties. • Institutional and investor financial relationships. • Apartment leasing, and tenant relations, including the maintenance of all required governmental documents and adherence to mandated regulations. • Ongoing repair and maintenance of the physical asset, including capital improvements of buildings wide systems, as well as the gut renovation of individual apartment units. • Leasing of retail units. Lewis Friedman is a graduate of The Bronx High School of Science and CUNY. He has a Ph.D. in Political Science from Michigan State University. For many years he had a dual career of being a tenured faculty member at the City University of New York in addition to his real estate activities.
